From Dales Rain to Radiant Smiles: Our Unforgettable Yorkshire Campervan Retreat


The Yorkshire Dales in early July delivered its quintessential English charm last weekend, treating us to damp mornings and refreshing showers – but nothing could dampen the incredible spirit of the 12 women who gathered for our Yorkshire Campervan Retreat at the beautiful Peggy Bottom Camping, near Settle. From Thursday afternoon, to Sunday noon, my mission was simple: to create a space for campervan loving women to unwind, reconnect with nature, forge new friendships, and embrace fresh experiences. And what a journey it was!

Driving down the lanes in our beloved campervans, we landed straight into the heart of the Dales. The initial shiver of wild stream dipping quickly turned into invigorating joy, washing away the week's worries. Each day unfolded with a beautiful rhythm: gentle seated yoga and breathwork sessions led by the wonderful Claire, grounding us in the serene landscape, no matter the weather. We embarked on a spirited 6k hike across the hills, sharing laughter and stories with every step, the stunning scenery providing a breath taking backdrop to our growing camaraderie.

Evenings were a highlight, transforming our cosy canvas shelter into a vibrant hub of connection. The aroma of shared food mingled with the crackle of the campfire, as we found our voices in spontaneous singing and dancing. These were the moments where true bonds solidified, proving that the best memories are often made when you're simply present with good company. Jo blessed us all with a wonderful sound bath as the wind blew around us. Adding to the pampering and self-care, Beth Angel Hunt offered her soothing treatments and therapies, providing moments of blissful relaxation for everyone.

The laughter echoed, the conversations flowed, and everyone radiated a renewed sense of peace and belonging. Despite the rain, the warmth within our community burned brightly. We arrived as individuals seeking solace and left as a connected, joyful sisterhood, refreshed and ready for new adventures.
