Behind the Scenes — Updating My Website & Learning New Skills to Grow Campervan Retreats

If you’ve ever run a small business, you’ll know that the “job description” is never just one thing. One day you’re planning events, the next you’re answering emails, and then suddenly you’re knee‑deep in website edits, SEO terms you’ve never heard of, and a to‑do list that seems to grow faster than you can tick things off.

That’s exactly where I’ve been recently — updating the Campervan Retreats website, learning how to improve SEO, and figuring out how to make everything clearer, easier and more welcoming for the women who visit the site. It’s been a journey… but a surprisingly empowering one.

Retreats

All these updates mean:

  • A clearer, more welcoming website

  • Better visibility for our women’s campervan retreats

  • Easier navigation for anyone curious about joining

  • More women discovering our community

  • A stronger foundation for the future

It’s a reminder that small steps — even the messy, technical ones — can make a big difference.

If You’re Running a Business… This Is Your Sign

If you’re reading this and you’re also building something of your own, here’s what I’ve learned:

  • You don’t have to know everything at the start

  • You’re capable of learning more than you think

  • Asking for help is a strength

  • Your business will grow as you grow

  • And every tiny improvement counts

Updating my website wasn’t glamorous, but it was powerful. It reminded me that I’m not just running a business — I’m building something meaningful, step by step.

Thank You for Being Here

Whether you’ve joined a retreat, followed along on social media, or simply landed on this blog out of curiosity — thank you. This community means the world to me, and every update I make is with you in mind.

A big thank you goes out to Julia B who brought this to my attention yesterday, not one for wasting time I jumped on the problem right away and although its still not perfect its on its way.

Here’s to learning, growing, and creating even more beautiful experiences together.

Lots of love, Sara
