Our Mission and Values

To create calm, creative, nature‑filled spaces where women can rest, reconnect and feel part of something special. The Values Connection — creating spaces where women feel seen, supported and part of something special. Nature — letting the outdoors hold us, calm us and remind us to slow down. Creativity — encouraging play, curiosity and trying new things, whether it’s crafting, pottery or simply making time for yourself. Courage — gently stepping outside your comfort zone and discovering what you’re capable of. Community — bringing like‑minded women together to share stories, laughter and meaningful moments. Rest — giving yourself permission to pause, breathe and recharge without guilt.

Campervan Retreats was created to bring women together for meaningful, restorative weekends of nature, yoga, creativity and connection. Founded by Sara — a wellness coach, yoga teacher and lifelong adventurer — the retreats offer a safe, supportive space for women to escape, breathe and rediscover themselves through the freedom of campervan life.

"Hi, I'm Sara, mum of three, lover of the countryside, and founder of Campervan Retreats. I created these retreats because I (like so many women) was craving connection, calm, and a space to simply be.

My approach is fun, gentle, nurturing, and real. No pressure, no perfection — just women supporting women, sharing stories, and remembering who they are."

My favourite quote:

"Live the life you love, and love the life you live"  Bob Marley

I would love to chat to you about the retreats if you would like to connect,  give me a call.

My Story

My journey to this point began more than 26 years ago, when I left the Fire Service to pursue a new path in the health and wellness world. Over time, I fell deeply in love with yoga, and my approach to wellbeing shifted from “fitness” to something far more holistic — focusing on balance, happiness and a more mindful way of living. I trained as a Health and Lifestyle Coach and later qualified as a Yoga Teacher so I could support women in a deeper, more meaningful way.

From Fire Service to Wellness and Yoga

Three gorgeous kids later, I found myself craving a new kind of adventure. I persuaded my husband, Neil, that we needed a VW campervan — the third one I’ve owned, and by far the best. That’s when Bruno joined our family in February 2022, and everything quietly began to change. I didn’t know it then, but this little van would eventually become the heart of a women’s campervan community that now stretches across the UK.

How Campervan Retreats Began

The idea for Campervan Retreats arrived during a daydream — imagining how blissful it would be to escape alone with Bruno for a weekend. No kids, no wet dog, no husband, no demands… just space, stillness and proper self‑care. Then I wondered how many other women had campervans sitting on their driveways, waiting to be used for something more nourishing than the school run or a muddy campsite. A women’s campervan retreat felt like something the world was missing.

I shared the idea on social media to see if anyone else felt the same. Fast‑forward to today, and our Campervan Retreats community is growing every single day, with over 250 women having already joined one of our UK wellness and campervan retreats.

Finding Strength Through Breast Cancer

In January 2024, everything shifted again when I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer at the age of 49. Treatment was tough, and for a moment I almost closed the business. But a local charity — Stronger Together Through Cancer — helped me keep going, and in many ways helped Campervan Retreats survive too.

Breast cancer has taken a lot from me, but it also gave me clarity. It pushed me to leave my employed job and pour my heart fully into Campervan Retreats.

A Mission to Bring Women Together Across the UK

Now, I get to sprinkle campervan magic across the UK, plan beautiful women’s wellness retreats, travel the country and bring incredible women together through yoga, nature and community. It’s a privilege to watch women arrive as strangers and leave as friends — rested, inspired and reconnected with themselves.

My Advice to Every Woman

Break out of your comfort zone. It’s scary, but it can lead you to places you’ve only ever dreamed of.

Check your boobs. Early detection saves lives.

Lots of love,
